PROJECT OFFICER APPOINTED TO IMPROVE SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WITH DRUG & ALCOHOL PROBLEMS AND MENTAL ILLNESS IN THE WAGGA WAGGA AREA

The role is capacity building so is focussed on workforce development in the area of co-occurring disorders. It entails teaching and looking at the patient pathways from drug & alcohol into mental health services and vice versa.

Martin is enjoying the challenge and it is hoped that within the three years people with both mental health and drug & alcohol problems will be better cared for in our Wagga Wagga community and particularly in our Calvary Alcohol and Other Drugs Services.
