Drug and Alcohol Services
O'Connor House Alcohol Detoxification and Rehabilitation Service
A 10 bed alcohol detoxification and motivation unit funded by the NSW Health Department through the Greater Southern Area Health Service. The unit provides care for clients from a wide geographical area of country New South Wales and north-east Victoria.
Peppers Illicit Drug Program
This program is provided in a therapeutic community residential setting for those recovering from drug abuse. Funding has been provided through the National Illicit Drug Program for this essential service.
Home Detoxification and Transitional Support Service
This service is provided by a registered nurse trained in Alcohol and Other Drug Services to facilitate detoxification in the most appropriate setting. This service is also funded through Greater Southern Area Health Service.
This service is for people with drug and alcohol problems and mental illness. The Improved Services Program operates from O'Connor House. This is funded by the Commonwealth Government.
COPE Day Program and Transition Care Homes
Situated at 3 Emblen Street, Wagga Wagga, C.O.P.E is an intensive drug education, support and counseling program designed to help clients deal with life’s pressures through developing coping strategies and a care plan clearly outlining achievable goals. COPE is an 8 week program running Monday to Friday from 10:0am to 4:00pm.
